Cacho is based in Cantanhede and has two main activities: manufacture of metal doors, windows and similar elements and sale of articles and machines for DIY and agriculture. The challenge was to develop two brands with an umbrella visual unity.
The visual unity was achieved through type and symbol. Small variations in shape and orientation depict “a drill” and “a metal structure” related to the activities of each brand.

Brico Cacho Identity
To create the Brico Cacho brand, the blue was the chosen color and the symbol M was used vertically to form the letter B. From here, we created the stationery, the packaging, the characterization of the team’s uniform and company vehicles.

Metal Cacho Identity
Working in the Metal Cacho brand, we wanted to pass the idea of rusty metal so we chose the brown/orange color and the symbol M was used in the right position. From here, we created the stationery, the characterization of the team’s uniform and company vehicles.
One page, multiple features
Brico Cacho already had a marketplace ecommerce solution but needed an independent digital presence to highlight featured products and capture new subscribers for its email newsletter. We developed a one page site in a participatory design approach, where brand integration and layout was iterated several times in small increments until client’s final approval.
